• Students apply during the spring semester, usually before their last undergraduate year or even a year or two later.
• Students must be not yet 24 on October 1 the year of application (year before going to England).
• The scholarship provides for two years of study at Oxford, with possible opportunity for a third.
• Criteria: High academic achievement, character, interest in /respect for others, leadership, energy.
• There are thirty-two recipients selected nationwide.
• Students must receive a nomination from KU to be considered
  
• An information meeting regarding the Rhodes Scholarship will be held Tuesday, March 31 at 7 p.m. in Nunemaker Center.

• Applications for a KU nomination are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009, at Nunemaker Center. (Submit draft 2 weeks earlier.)
