The Undergraduate Research Award (UGRA)

The award is granted twice for projects beginning or taking place during:

Period I:  January 1 - June 15
Period II:  June 16 - December 31

There are two award categories:
Regular Grants: up to $2,000
Small Grants: up to $750

The Honors Program will hold three information sessions at the Nunemaker Center about the Undergraduate Research Award for Period I (Jan - June 2010). Information meetings will be held on:
            Tuesday, September 15: 4pm
            Wednesday, September 23: 4:00pm
            Friday, September 25: 10am

 

DEADLINE FOR PERIOD I: 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009
  • Students should apply for the period in which they wish to conduct their research.
  • All disciplines are welcome.
  • Students submit a clearly-written proposal for the research they intend to conduct.
  • They must have a faculty sponsor and one other faculty referee.
  • Awardees should plan to participate in the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.
