Honors Research Development Program

Summer 2009

The Honors Research Development Program (HRDP) is a three-week intensive immersion in basic research methods. It surveys research approaches, techniques, and proposal preparation from diverse disciplines (e.g., the Humanities, the Natural Sciences, Engineering, the Social Sciences), pairs each participant with a faculty mentor, and provides an introduction to research opportunities across the University.

Program participation is limited to students who will have just completed their first year in the Honors Program at KU. Only first-year honors students are eligible to apply. Applications are sought from students with interests spanning a wide range of subjects.

If you have questions about the HRDP or would like more information, please contact Mark Daly mdaly@ku.edu. Information sessions with previous HRDP participants will be scheduled for those interested. More information will be posted later in the Fall 2009 semester.
